Longarm in Action!

I am so excited that I now have a longarm quilting machine!  It's the Ansley 26 ESP Limited by Tin Lizzie.  I went to HMQS in Salt Lake City this year to test drive all of the different brands of longarms.  I hadn't heard of Tin Lizzie before, but I was really impressed at how well their machines drive.

It took me most of the day yesterday to  get the quilt loaded on the frame.  I'm assuming that will get better with practice.  Once I had the quilt loaded, I had a few false starts, but now I've learned a few things (such as the importance of basting down the sides), and it's been smooth sailing.  She's currently stitching Champagne Bubbles by Kristin Hoftyzer.  I'm really happy with how it's coming out, and I'm impressed that the machine hasn't stumbled over the thick seams at the points of the triangles.
